Areas of Expertise
All people should have a periodic, comprehensive eye examination every one to two years depending on one’s particular needs. Why? The eyes are like any other organ system in the body. Because of this, pathologies that are identified in early stages (before they become a significant problem) are easier to treat and manage. As such, periodic evaluations are recommended.
The Eye Center provides comprehensive eye examinations to asses the entire ocular/visual system. The examination evaluates the refractive system for the need of correction through the use of spectacles, contact lenses, or refractive surgery. We evaluate the ocular health to rule out pathology such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other degenerative or acquired conditions of the ocular system. We rule out ocular complications from diabetes, hypertension, and other systemic diseases. We also rule out ocular complications from medications taken for systemic diseases.
