Emeritus - Dr. Kent A. Karren M.D.

Dr. Karren retired from The Eye Center in 2023. We thank him for his long service to our patients and share his farewell message:

To my loyal patients and friends,

After considerable deliberation and discussions with my wife and family, I am announcing my retirement.

My departure date from The Eye Center was June 1, 2023. Although I will genuinely miss working with so many great patients, wonderful employees, and talented partners, I look forward to spending more time with my family, traveling, and serving others in a different capacity.

I joined The Eye Center and Dr. John Haines over 22 years ago. I have enjoyed the amazing and gratifying moments serving patients and working with Dr. Haines and our wonderful staff. It has been a rewarding and fulfilling career, which has brought me much joy and immense personal and professional satisfaction.

Although I am leaving, you will be left in very capable and skillful hands. Recently, we added two new physicians, Brian Walker, MD, and John D. Polansky, MD, to the medical staff at The Eye Center. I enthusiastically support and highly recommend both physicians. I know that they will provide the skilled, compassionate, and expert patient care you have come to expect from the physicians and staff at The Eye Center.

If you would like to set up an appointment, our friendly staff will be happy to assist you in scheduling an appointment with Dr. Haines, Dr. Walker, or Dr. Polansky. You may contact our office at (541) 683-2020.

Again, I would like to say thank you and I appreciate you. Though I am saying goodbye with a heavy heart, I am confident that The Eye Center and the physicians, Dr. John Haines, Dr. Brian Walker, and Dr. John D. Polansky will continue offering you outstanding care and treatment.

Kindest regards,
Kent Karren, MD
